Are there any bras that prevent breast sagging?

Q Before I had children, I always wore bras with wires and slept with them on, but at some point, bras became too stuffy and I was too sweaty and wet in the summer, so these days I wear bras without wires. After having children, my breasts saggy and I gained weight, but now that I wear a wire-free bra, I feel like my breasts are sagging even more. Will my breasts sag if I wear something without wires?
A You are concerned about sagging breasts after giving birth and are looking for preventive measures. First of all, the most important thing is that you must make basic efforts in exercise and diet to prevent weight gain. You may be busy and exhausted with raising children, but no matter how pretty your body and breasts are, if you gain weight after giving birth, they will quickly break down.

And when it comes to bras, we think the degree of support provided by the cap is more important than the wire. If mastoptosis progresses, the part that sags is not the bottom line held by the wire, but the part of the mammary gland supported by the cap. Therefore, I think the cap plays a more important role than the wire; however, bra manufacturers generally prioritize comfort when making wire-free bras, so the caps are often soft.

Considering this, it would be helpful if you use a product with a cap that has at least a little support. If you do strength training, exercises to increase pectoral muscle volume to replace the lost volume will be helpful. Although it will not directly fill the breast tissue, it will prevent sagging to some extent. As we said at the beginning, it is better if you maintain your weight while doing aerobic exercise.

How is surgery performed on large, saggy breasts?

Q Even before giving birth, my breasts were large and saggy, but after giving birth to two children and breastfeeding them both for a year, the sagging of my breasts was indescribable…ㅠㅜ Before giving birth, my breast size was 70E, but after giving birth, it was 75D or E… After stop breastfeeding my first baby, everything was fine, but after stop breastfeeding my second baby, both breasts looked a little different in size…ㅜㅠ What should I do
A Just looking at the article, I think your breasts are somewhat large and saggy. In this case, there is no need to insert an implant, and we can raise both breasts to the desired position and reduce the size of the larger breast to make it similar in size to the other side.

By removing the fat that is pressed against the bra from the armpits to the sides through liposuction, a smoother line will appear. If your breast sagging is severe, it may be difficult to improve it with exercise or other methods, and if you are under a lot of stress, it may be a good idea to consider surgery.

What surgical method is used for sagging breasts?

Q After giving birth and breastfeeding, breast elasticity noticeably decreases and my breasts naturally sagㅠㅠ I am considering surgery and what surgical method is used for sagging breasts?
A We will tell you about the surgical method for sagging breasts.

If breast sagging is not severe and only implants or fat transplantation are performed, no scars will remain around the areola. All you have to do is insert an implant through an armpit or subline incision or perform fat transplantation through a small hole. Only in the case of lift surgery to cut out sagging skin, the following incisions are made.

The first Crescent shape is when only a 1~2cm lift is needed, the second Donut shape (Lollipop) is when the areola is reduced while lifting about 3 to 5 cm, the third lollipop shape is also called a ‘vertical incision’ and is when the skin that stretches horizontally is also incised along with the lift, the fourth ‘ㅗ’ and fifth ‘오’ shaped incisions are also called ‘Inverted T incisions’ and are mainly used when performing a lift and breast reduction at the same time.

In the case of only mastoptosis lift, the procedure can be performed under sedation and the patient is discharged the same day and if implant insertion or reduction is performed simultaneously, general anesthesia is safe and hospitalization for at least half a day is recommended.

Does bottle feeding prevent my breasts from sagging?

Q People say breast feeding causes sagging breasts, but isn’t that the case with bottle feeding?
A The reason breasts sag after giving birth or breastfeeding is because the breasts grow larger and then smaller.

It’s simple if you think of blowing up a balloon and letting the air out. Changes in female hormones during pregnancy, birth, and lactation cause changes in breast size. If breastfeeding is omitted here, the amount and frequency of change in breast size will be reduced, so the degree of sagging may be less.

Your breasts are sagging, but we think they will become less saggy. However, as a mother, you may feel sorry for giving up breastfeeding. Please make wise decisions so that both baby and mother can have satisfactory birth and breastfeeding.

How do I correct breasts of different sizes?

Q I’m currently breastfeeding and it’s easier to feed with my left breast… Before I knew it, my breast size had changed…ㅠ If I stop breastfeeding, will it go back to its original size?
A Unfortunately, if your breasts have already become uneven, it is not easy to return after stopping breastfeeding. If you are stressed because the large difference in breast size persists even after stopping breastfeeding, you can have mastoptosis surgery and have different implants placed on both sides.

During the surgery, the volume difference is measured using a balloon-shaped sizer, and then the implant is placed differently in the breast. For example, if there is a 30cc difference, inserting a 380cc implant on the right and a 350cc implant on the left will correct it to some extent. Since you are still breastfeeding, you can consider surgery after you have successfully finished breastfeeding.

Can polymastia protruding in the armpits also be operated on?

Q My first child wouldn’t latch on to the breast, so I breast pumped and fed him. When I think about it now, I wish I had just not given it to my child, but at the time, I was under a lot of stress about breastfeeding, so I remember sleeping with breast milk filling up to my armpits. It got better after I stopped breastfeeding after a month, but my armpit polymastia was sagging and I couldn’t look good in clothes. Of course, I’m fat, but I’m also bothered by the bulges on both sides of my armpits. Is surgery possible in this case?
A You are suffering from bulging polymastia in your armpits. Polymastia grows from a breast-like sprout during prenatal life in the mother’s womb. At the same time, only two true breasts develop, leaving behind the nipple, areola, and breast tissue, and the remaining polymastia degenerate.

Among them, polymastia, which has not degenerated and has held firm, remains in the armpit. In some cases, breast tissue remains together, in other cases, only fatty tissue remains, and in severe cases, the nipple, areola, and mammary glands remain identical to actual breasts, making it look like there are four breasts.

In most cases, only fat tissue remains and breast tissue does not account for a large portion, so liposuction alone can effectively improve the condition. The surgery time for polymastia liposuction is about 20 minutes, and in many cases, liposuction of the bra line and upper arms around the polymastia is also performed.

Is there any way to correct uneven breasts while breastfeeding?

Q I have been breastfeeding for 10 months. From the moment I started breastfeeding, milk came out better on the right side. Maybe that’s why there is a difference in the size of both breasts. ㅜㅜ uneven breasts.. At first there wasn’t much of a difference, but now there is a clear difference… Is there any way to correct uneven breasts?
A It seems like you’re starting to notice a big difference in breast size while breastfeeding.

Fortunately, there are several solutions. The simplest method would be to perform fat transplantation on small breasts, and if you want to make them larger during surgery, most people prefer the method of inserting implants on both sides with a difference of about 50 to 100 cc.

For example, a 250cc implant is placed in the smaller side, and a 300cc implant is placed in the other side. However, the first sentence of ‘feeding mother’ is bothering us. We think it’s almost time to stop breastfeeding at 10 months, but there may be more changes in size by then, and it’s difficult to administer medication while breastfeeding, so stop breastfeeding and get counseling to help resolve your concerns. There are other methods to resolve differences in thorax or nipple positions, but please keep in mind that any method has fundamental limitations.

Can sagging breasts be restored to their former state through exercise?

Q I stopped breastfeeding after my baby’s first birthday, and after stop breastfeeding, my breasts became smaller than when I was a virgin. Is it just me? My breasts have gotten smaller and are even sagging a little. My husband says it’s okay, but my clothes don’t fit well and I’m embarrassed to go to the local bathhouse…ㅠ Is there any way to overcome it with exercise?

For reference, I returned to my pre-marriage weight about 4 months after giving birth, but gradually lost more weight, now less than when I was a virgin. Due to irregular eating and raising children alone, I did not gain weight, became skinny and does that have an effect?
A In my opinion, both stopping breastfeeding and weight loss seem to have an effect. The size of the breasts is maintained by breast tissue and fatty tissue and this is because breast tissue decreases due to stopping breastfeeding and fatty tissue decreases due to weight loss.

Fortunately, if your breasts are only slightly saggy, implants alone can improve the feeling of sagging. If you feel like your body size is small due to weight loss, we can give you beautiful breasts by inserting implants around 300cc. It is thought to be difficult to recover through exercise, and maintaining your weight with regular meals will help prevent further loss.

Is it possible to correct asymmetric nipple position?

Q After giving birth to my first child, I breastfed for 15 months. At that time, only the right side produced milk well and I continued to have uneven breasts. The more I breastfeed, the more my breasts swell and fill… Afterwards, my breasts visibly sag, which is even more stressful because my nipples have been in different positions since I was a virgin. The position of the right and left breasts seems to be a bit out of alignment.
A You’ve had asymmetrical breasts since you were a virgin, but it seems they got worse after breastfeeding your first child. If you look at the two factors of breast asymmetry, size and nipples, you will come up with a solution for each.

First, to correct the asymmetry of breast size, we can insert different size implants on both sides. There are a variety of implants, so you can choose one that can correct the size and shape of both sides.

Second, if you want to correct the position of the nipple, you can make a crescent shaped incision above the areola on the sagging side to raise the position of the nipple to make it similar.

Will my breasts return to their shape after I stop breastfeeding?

Q I am an expectant mother who is due to give birth in September. My nipples are very stretched, darkened, and saggy overall. I plan to breastfeed for about 3 months after giving birth and will my breasts return to their original shape? If my breasts are sagging like they are now, will my breast size only decrease??? ㅠㅜ
A Pregnancy and childbirth are the times when changes in female hormones are greatest and thus the shape and size of the breasts and the nipple and areola complex are most likely to change. If you have not yet given birth, changes will continue to occur even during breastfeeding. In general, the nipple color becomes darker and as the child sucks, the nipple becomes longer and saggy.

If you have a lot of breast milk, your breasts may temporarily enlarge, but if you stop breastfeeding, they will fall again and the skin will become saggy. That’s why you undergo breast augmentation and breast lift surgery after giving birth and breastfeeding. Unfortunately, the bottom line is that the shape of your breasts will never return to how it was when you were a virgin.

This does not mean that there is no solution, so you can worry about it after you give birth safely in September and breastfeed successfully for three months.

My breasts have become smaller than before after breastfeeding. What's the problem?

Q After giving birth, I breastfed for 6 months, did not take any medication, and breastfed naturally while my milk production gradually decreased; however, my breasts are smaller than before pregnancy. What would be the problem? I may not be able to make my breasts huge, but is there any way to get them back to their original state?
A Changes in the breasts after giving birth and breastfeeding are not a problem, but are natural.

However, it seems like you are stressed because your breasts are smaller than before pregnancy. Our bodies tend to degenerate when we don’t use them often or when we think we’ve exhausted them. You can think that the breast tissue has also gone through such changes and its volume has decreased.

This may actually make your breasts bigger rather than returning them to their original state. You can undergo breast augmentation surgery to insert implants, and the size can range from 200cc to 600cc to suit your desired breast size and body type.

The longer I breastfeed, the more my breasts will sag?

Q Do breasts sag less after breastfeeding for 3 months than after breastfeeding for 6 months? Or is there not much difference? I’ve thought about surgery, but I’m most worried about scars.
A Many people think that the longer the breastfeeding period, the worse the sagging.

But there will be almost no difference between 3 months and 6 months. There may be a difference between not breastfeeding at all and 12 months. Most people worry about scars, but they will turn white about a year after the surgery, and the scars will be managed with ointment, taping, and laser, so you will be less stressed than with sagging breasts.

If you are a candidate for breast augmentation surgery that involves inserting only implants and undergo surgery through a bottom line incision or an armpit incision, you can expect that there will be virtually no visible scars afterward. You can undergo basic breast augmentation surgery, and the size ranges from 200cc to 600cc to suit your desired size and body type.

How long is the hospitalization and recovery period?

Q My husband makes fun of me because I have big breasts and my breasts saggy so much during my two childbirths that I look like a native African and I told my husband that I would have surgery if I stop breastfeeding. I’m curious about the length of hospital stay for surgery to lift sagging breasts (due to child careㅠ).
A After breast surgery, you may stay in the hospital for one day, and if your condition is good, you may be discharged the same day. Rather, you are deeply offended by your husband’s statement that you are a native of Africa. You may feel upset when you see your breasts sagging while breastfeeding.

This can be resolved with augmentation or lift surgery, so don’t stress too much and just continue breastfeeding. After surgery, the recovery period can be expected to be about a week.

Is it possible to prevent breast sagging after breastfeeding?

Q When a woman becomes pregnant, her breasts get bigger. So, my breasts are sagging compared to before pregnancy, but if I breastfeed and dry them, is it true that they stay the same and just dry out and become lifeless and saggy?
A As you mentioned, after stopping breastfeeding, breast volume decreases and the stretched skin sags. Since the skin is already stretched, the degree of drying does not seem to vary greatly depending on the speed or method of drying.

Just because you slowly deflate a balloon doesn’t mean it won’t expand. I think you will be less stressed if you breastfeed with peace of mind and stop breastfeeding later with the thought that it will be resolved later.

Should I treat cracked nipple tips before breastfeeding?

Q I want to breastfeed, but my nipples are not inverted, but the ends of my nipples are quite split. Do I need to get treatment before having the baby?
A Splited nipples can be seen as a type of inverted nipple. It does not affect breastfeeding. It may be a little difficult at first, but as you breastfeed, your nipples will stretch and it will become easier. However, you just need to pay attention to cleanliness when showering so that no debris gets stuck between your nipples.

I am old, and is breast surgery possible?

Q Like all mothers, I really want to have breast surgery. Is surgery okay even if I get older? I am a person who could not have breast surgery because I was afraid of it. I don’t know whether I should live with saggy breasts like this or take a risk.. Are there people like me?
A First of all, age doesn’t matter. A 74-year-old grandmother also had a mastoptosis lift surgery because her breasts were sagging. When we saw that she was very satisfied after the surgery, we thought that breasts are a symbol and pride of women regardless of their age.

Regarding the risks of anesthesia, we think it is a very safe surgery. Breast surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and sedative anesthesia.

The difference between the two anesthesia is whether you breathe on your own or not. General anesthesia is accurate, error-free, and controllable because the machine breathes for you. Because sleep anesthesia involves spontaneous breathing, the surgeon or anesthesiologist must be experienced to accurately understand the patient’s condition. Personally, I believe that general anesthesia is a safer surgery for breast augmentation, and you can have the surgery comfortably and safely if you choose a hospital specializing in anesthesiology.

Do breast implants have to be removed later?

Q Just as any product has an expiration date, do implants also have an expiration date? There is also a saying that mold develops over time. I really want to have surgery, but do I have to have it removed when I get older?
A Breast implants, like groceries, have an expiration date. However, this is an expiration date that means it must be used within a few days from the date of manufacture, just like how long food must be sold.

Once the surgery is performed and the implant is placed cleanly inside the body, there is no set expiration date. In fact, in the United States, deceased grandmothers often have breast implants. There is a huge difference in technology between breast implants made in the 1980s and those made today.

First of all, the saline bag was unable to completely close the gap at the saline injection site, so it tended to leak little by little. Since the bag can become completely flat after about 10 years, there seems to be a theory that the expiration date is 10 years. The silicone bags that come out these days, especially the cohesive gel bags, come sealed at the factory and, like teddy bear jelly, do not come out when cut with a knife.

Mold growth is also highly likely to occur in patients with immune diseases or AIDS. If you undergo surgery using modern medical technology, you have a much higher chance of carrying it with you for the rest of your life.

Won't the nerves be damaged if I have breast surgery?

Q When I was a student, I kept having something in my breast, but I just ignored it instead of having surgery. However, I keep putting off the surgery because I am worried that breast surgery might cause nerve damage. Won’t the nerves be damaged if I have breast surgery?
A Yes. Not only breast surgery, but almost all surgeries have the potential for loss of sensation. When removing the space where the implant will fit, large nerve branches can be seen with the eye during surgery, but in most cases, small nerve branches are not visible to the eye.

Since sensory nerves have a better regenerative ability than motor nerves, most patients recover without much discomfort with the help of other nearby sensory nerves.

The nerves of the breast have their main branches distributed on the outside. The 4th, 5th, and 6th intercostal nerves are responsible for sensation in the chest area, and when intercostal anesthesia is performed, these nerves are anesthetized.

If a large-diameter implant is placed, there is a higher chance that these nerves will be touched. This is also the reason why large-diameter implants cannot be placed in people with small breast widths. In this case, a larger size can be placed by using a tall implant and using the space inside the breast efficiently.

Is it possible to solve gynecomastia in men through breast augmentation?

Q I am a guy whose breasts stick out more than my friends. Every summer, I find it very uncomfortable to wear short-sleeved t-shirts and worry a lot about seeing my breasts and is it possible to solve gynecomastia through breast augmentation?
A Are only women worried about their breasts? It’s not like that. Some men have concerns about their breasts, but they are often stressed due to gynecomastia, which causes breasts to protrude like women.

This is a condition in which male breasts grow into gynecomastia due to hormonal imbalance in the body and because it looks unsightly and can result in being teased by friends during adolescence or, in extreme cases, being ostracized in the military, it is recommended to receive treatment in such cases.

Before surgery, make sure it is not caused by other endocrinopathy or medications, and if surgery is necessary, you can undergo liposuction.

In the past, to remove mammary tissue rather than fatty tissue, the mammary tissue was removed through an areola incision; however, scars remain on men’s areolas, so recently a device called PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction) is used to destroy the mammary tissue and then suction it, making it possible to obtain good results without resection.

When is the best time to have surgery if I want to go out in the summer?

Q I’m thinking about getting breast surgery so I can go play this summer. I had an idea about it a year ago, but I missed the timing. People around me still don’t know that I’m worried about my breasts. If I want to go out in the summer, when is the best time to have surgery and when can I go swimming?
A Looking at recent trends, it can be said that one of the purposes of breast augmentation is to gain the confidence to show off a pretty body when exposed, such as during summer vacation, swimming pool, or honeymoon.

Accordingly, we are sharing a survey conducted through online research on the timing of breast augmentation. As a result of a survey of 200 women in their 20s and 30s, 66.2% responded that they plan and decide on a vacation one month in advance, and 55.2% responded that the recovery period after breast surgery was 1 to 3 months. Post-surgery follow-up care such as high-frequency care, regenerative laser, and scar care is also provided according to a 4-week schedule, so you must have the surgery at least 1 month before you start making plans before going on vacation to be able to recover to some extent and go on vacation.

For example, if you are planning to travel on August 15th, having surgery on July 17th at the latest will not affect your ability to play in the water. To do this, you need to gather information about the surgery and schedule a consultation a little earlier. Eye and nose surgeries are most often performed after college entrance exams and during winter vacation.

If you go to a plastic surgery clinic during this time, it’s very busy. It can be considered a busy period from this point until the end of the Lunar New Year. When March comes and school starts, the number of student patients decreases to some extent. And patients who want to have their breasts or body shaped plastic surgery plan their plastic surgery keeping in mind June to August, which is the exposure season.

As shown in the previous planner, it is expected to take about a month to recover to the point where you can go on a trip and enjoy water play to your heart’s content, so I think that if you get the surgery around March to May, you will have enough time for recovery and can enjoy the summer with beautiful breasts. Conversely, we feel that many people undergo surgery during the Chuseok season in September and October, motivated by seeing people with pretty breasts at the swimming pool during the summer season.

Is breast reduction surgery more dangerous than breast augmentation?

QI’ve had other plastic surgery before and experienced side effects after a year. What should I do if I have side effects a year after having breast surgery again?
A If you visit the hospital again a year later, it may be because you are still disappointed with the results of the surgery rather than because of side effects. This is because hematoma, seroma, and asymmetry, which can be considered side effects after surgery, mostly appear within one year.

I think the biggest regret after a year is dissatisfaction with breast size. Even though the surgery was carried out after sufficient consultation and simulation before the surgery, there are more cases than expected when people find that larger breasts are becoming increasingly popular a year later, or when they see their beautiful breasts, they wish they were bigger.

The second is the case where the asymmetry of the underline is a concern. When designing before surgery, there are cases where the position of the underline has to be designed a little differently for patients with a much curved back, different shoulder heights, and different nipple positions. If the position of the underline is different before surgery, it is best to go into surgery knowing in advance that there may be a difference after surgery.

Lastly, there are cases where people come to the hospital after a year because they do not want to see the scar. The nature of the scar varies depending on each person’s constitution, and the scar will continue to fade for up to one year after surgery. You may have experienced scars on your knees or elbows or pimple scars on your face that were red at first and then gradually faded. Similarly, if you wait for up to a year and the scars remain unsightly, you can improve them with a laser or surgical procedure.
